Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.4 Guide – New Banners, Fate Collaboration, Events, and Everything You Need to Know

HoYoverse has officially rolled out Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.4, introducing a fresh wave of content for Trailblazers. The latest update expands the game’s story, brings new limited-time banners, launches the next chapter of the highly anticipated Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works collaboration, and adds several quality-of-life improvements.

Whether you’re deciding which character to pull for or simply want to know what’s new, here’s everything included in Version 4.4.

Version 4.4 Release Schedule

Version 4.4 officially launched on July 15 and will remain active until August 26, following HoYoverse’s standard six-week update cycle.

The update continues the Planarcadia storyline while introducing additional exploration areas, new combat content, and multiple limited-time events designed to reward active players throughout the patch.

New Character Banners

One of the biggest attractions of every Honkai: Star Rail update is its limited-time Warp banners, and Version 4.4 delivers several highly anticipated characters.

Phase 1 Banners

Available from July 15 – August 5

Featured 5-Star Characters:

  • Himeko Nova
  • Sparxie
  • Dan Heng Permansor Terrae
  • Evernight

Featured 4-Star Characters:

  • Moze
  • Hanya
  • Serval

Himeko Nova serves as the centerpiece of Version 4.4, introducing a brand-new playstyle while the returning characters provide another opportunity for players who previously missed their banners.

Phase 2 Banners

Available from August 5 – August 26

Featured Characters:

  • Himeko Nova
  • Cerydra
  • Anaxa
  • Aventurine

The second banner phase gives players additional flexibility, especially those planning to save Stellar Jade for Cerydra or Aventurine.

Because Himeko Nova remains available throughout the entire version, players have extra time before deciding whether to spend their resources.

Fate/Stay Night Collaboration Returns

Perhaps the biggest highlight of Version 4.4 is the continuation of the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works collaboration.

Beginning on July 24, the crossover expands with two new playable characters:

  • Gilgamesh
  • Rin Tohsaka

These characters join the existing collaboration roster alongside Saber and Archer, creating one of Honkai: Star Rail’s largest crossover events to date.

The collaboration also introduces a brand-new permanent Trailblaze Continuation mission inspired by the Holy Grail War.

Even better, players can claim one free copy of Gilgamesh or Archer during the event period, making this one of the update’s biggest rewards.

New Story Content

Version 4.4 continues the main Trailblaze storyline with another chapter set on Planarcadia.

Players will explore several brand-new locations, including:

  • Desolate Maw’s Demonhold
  • Fallen Star’s Cradle

These areas feature new enemies, environmental puzzles, and additional lore surrounding Planarcadia’s mysterious history.

The update also introduces the Imagenae: Holy Grail War, expanding the crossover story with permanent content rather than limiting everything to temporary events.

Version 4.4 Events

Like previous updates, Version 4.4 includes multiple limited-time events that reward Stellar Jade, upgrade materials, and exclusive collectibles.

Fate/Star Rail Night

The main collaboration event follows the Trailblazer and Rin Tohsaka as they investigate mysterious treasures connected to the Holy Grail War.

Rewards include:

  • Stellar Jade
  • Self-Modeling Resin
  • Tracks of Destiny
  • Exclusive Rin collectible

Unlike a standard combat event, this mode combines story progression with battle challenges.

Antigraft Brickbuster

Players looking for something more casual can try Antigraft Brickbuster, a puzzle mode inspired by classic block-stacking games.

After clearing Story Mode, multiplayer becomes available, allowing players to compete with friends.

Rewards include:

  • Stellar Jade
  • Tracks of Destiny
  • Self-Modeling Resin

The event offers a nice break from traditional combat while still providing valuable upgrade materials.

New Gameplay Features

Beyond characters and events, Version 4.4 introduces several quality-of-life improvements.

Major additions include:

  • New Echo of War boss
  • Two new Planar Ornament sets
  • Expanded Currency Wars progression
  • Higher difficulty levels
  • New collectible cosmetics
  • Sparxie’s “Candy-Coated Waves” outfit
  • One-click max level option for Characters and Light Cones
  • Improved Achievement menu with search functionality
  • Gift of Odyssey login campaign featuring 10 Star Rail Special Passes

These improvements streamline progression while giving veteran players additional endgame challenges.

Looking Ahead to Version 4.5

Although Version 4.4 has only recently arrived, many players are already looking toward the next major update.

If HoYoverse maintains its regular release schedule, Version 4.5 is expected to launch near the end of August. The update is expected to introduce seasonal versions of Aventurine and Robin, alongside another batch of story content and limited-time events.

More details should be revealed during the official Version 4.5 Special Program livestream in the coming weeks.
