Kazuma and his notoriously dysfunctional adventuring party will return in 2027, as KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 4 has officially received a broadcast window.
The latest update was accompanied by an “ultra teaser visual” showing Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin and Darkness from behind as they prepare to begin another journey. The image carries the message, “Let’s set out on a new adventure.” An exact premiere month has not been announced.
ENGI Takes Over Animation Production

Season 4 will be animated by ENGI, marking a studio change from the third season, which was produced by Drive.
Manabu Kurihara will direct the new season under returning chief director Takaomi Kanasaki. Kurihara replaces Season 3 director Yujiro Abe, while several longtime members of the anime’s creative team will remain involved.
Makoto Uezu is returning to oversee the series composition, with Koichi Kikuta once again handling the character designs. Miwa Iwanami will serve as sound director, while Masato Kōda returns to compose the music.
The principal production team includes:
Chief Director: Takaomi Kanasaki
Director: Manabu Kurihara
Series Composition: Makoto Uezu
Character Design: Koichi Kikuta
Sound Director: Miwa Iwanami
Music: Masato Kōda
Animation Production: ENGI
The continued involvement of Kanasaki, Uezu, Kikuta, Iwanami and Kōda suggests that the fourth season will retain the comedic timing, exaggerated character acting and musical identity established by the earlier adaptations, despite the changes in director and studio.
Kazuma’s Party Returns With Its Familiar Cast
The four main voice actors will reprise their roles for the new season.
Jun Fukushima returns as Kazuma, alongside Sora Amamiya as Aqua, Rie Takahashi as Megumin and Ai Kayano as Darkness.
Several supporting performers have also been confirmed:
Sayuri Hara as Luna
Tetsu Inada as the Ruffian
Ayaka Suwa as Chris
Yui Horie as Wiz
Masakazu Nishida as Vanir
Aki Toyosaki as Yunyun
The announcement has not yet revealed whether characters introduced or given larger roles during Season 3—such as Princess Iris and her attendants—will return.
The Fourth Season Was Confirmed Earlier in 2026
Production on Season 4 was formally confirmed in January 2026 as part of the anime adaptation’s 10th-anniversary celebrations. Before that confirmation, the franchise had announced an unspecified anime sequel following the release of the two-episode KonoSuba 3: Bonus Stage project in March 2025.
The 2027 broadcast window and staff information were revealed on July 26, the same day the franchise held its 10th-anniversary “Colorful” event at Pacifico Yokohama. The event featured members of the anime cast, musical performers and other guests connected to the series.
The television anime originally premiered in January 2016, meaning the fourth season will arrive more than a decade after Kazuma’s unusual reincarnation adventure first appeared on Japanese television.
What Remains Unannounced
The production has not yet released a teaser trailer, episode total or precise broadcast season. Theme-song performers and additional supporting cast members also remain unconfirmed.
The ultra teaser visual does not reveal specific story events, focusing instead on the four central characters beginning another adventure together. Further information is expected as the anime moves closer to its 2027 premiere.
KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 4 will air in Japan sometime in 2027, with ENGI handling animation production.
